Dudley Branch Library opens.

Architect: Kallmann, McKinnell & Wood. It is located at 65 Warren Street. The building replaces both the Mount Pleasant Branch and the Fellowes Athenaeum. A renovation designed by Utile Architecture & Planning is scheduled for completion in 2020. The building is renamed the Shaw-Roxbury Branch Library at Nubian Square for journalist Sarah-Ann Shaw in 2025.
